We have an Ubuntu laptop now! Desktop is still Windows for Games(tm) reasons but holy heck, we're so excited about this?

We've had to wipe and reinstall the OS three times now due to setup issues and we're still so giddy and having the time of our lives? Omg? It's like we invited the best parts of our job into our personal life and also the worst parts that we secretly like. Everything is so CLEAN and UNCLUTTERED and we can ACTUALLY USE COMMANDS IN THE COMMAND LINE.

(Okay, that last part is hyperbole, but the number of times we have typed ls into a Windows shell, only to be very rudely let down...)

Oooh! Yeah, I'm still working on figuring out how to mount my damn files so I can DOWNLOAD shit, but I'm still glad to have an option off the Windows treadmill.

Ouch, good luck. We didn't have to mess with mounting, though I'm not entirely sure why. Maybe because we were doing all of this to a laptop that's been tested to work well with Linux?

Fortunately, I THINK we've found out what the issue is, so...! I think we'll be okay!
