Dreamwidth got brought up this Othercon a bunch and a lot of new people made accounts here. It can be hard to find folks to follow and get followed on DW so I thought I'd make a post where people can comment with a little bit about themselves (or just say hi if you're blanking out), and hopefully that'll make it easier for people to find each other.

Please feel free to comment even if you have literally nothing on your account yet. Veteran users and non-Othercon-goers are welcome to comment as well! Likewise please feel free to share any Dreamwidth newbie resources that you have on hand.

Hello! We’re Robyn Nidum, a plural system (group? situation?) of many, and a few who really like to talk.

We love writing metatextual analyses of fiction, as well as aspects of our own practices and identity as fiction people who reconstruct the Kingdom Hearts cosmology (often those two types overlap). Expect a lot of mysterious and emotionally poignant writing with constant blurring of genre (at least, we hope it’s emotionally poignant!)

We haven’t posted anything to dreamwidth yet, but we’re about to start, so if that interests you—um! Thanks. And feel free to follow us.

I maybe post every several years because I keep forgetting this exists, but I (aka Nevi, Afniel is my much older online name that I still use other places) do in fact have a DW account.

Anyway I'm nonhuman (I'm both a faery and a reploid, as well as being human too) and also the host of a small and mostly fictive system. These days we generally describe ourselves as being made of stories.

Hi! I'm Spooky, but don't really care how I'm referred to. I'm also median plural and we've collectively started going by squires, but that stuff is also its own mess (soup). Most notably I'm a bat and a cat and Lunala fictionkin, but I'm also extremely alterhuman in a myriad of ways. I've been wanting to write some of my experiences down for a long time and othercon finally gave me the push to make a dreamwidth. Dispite being a certified yapper I'm actually pretty bad at earnestly talking about my own experiences so please bear with me as I figure this out. There is a lot I don't know

I've had a system / life events journal here for a while that's caught a lot of changes and shifts over the years. Most of it's access locked because trust issues are a thing, but I do tend to grant access to folks in my circle who feel safe or get to know me/us. The setting notes for "Spiraling Out of Control" describe the gamification of invasive species removal in live-action roleplaying, by means of attaching in-game benefits to gathering the plants (which are then destroyed).
